Bai Harir ni Vav Dada Harir Stepwell

Ahmedabad, India

Dada Harir Stepwell is a historical water storage system located on the outskirts of Ahmedabad in Gujarat. Constructed in 1499 for 329000 Mahmudis, this five-story deep monument was financed and supervised by Dhai Harir, a prominent woman from the royal household of Mahmud Begada. The sandstone structure incorporates arched corridors, descending steps, and a series of carved columns that allowed people to congregate in a climate-adaptive environment. The surrounding complex also includes a mosque and a mausoleum dedicated to its founder. This immersive 360-degree virtual tour captures the intricate stonework and the symmetrical indoor spaces across various levels through a detailed panoramic experience.
