Easy Screenshot is a client-side only application. This means:

• No Remote Processing: Screenshots are generated and processed directly in your browser's memory. The image data never leaves your device unless you manually choose to share or save it.

To function correctly, Easy Screenshot requires specific permissions. Here is why we need them:

activeTab

• Purpose: This allows the extension to access the current tab only when you explicitly click the extension icon or invoke a command.
• Usage: We use this to "see" the webpage you want to capture.

scripting

• Purpose: This allows us to inject a temporary script into the webpage.
• Usage: The script is used to scroll the page (for Full Page capture), hide "sticky" elements (like headers or cookie banners) to clean up the screenshot, and calculate page dimensions. This script is temporary and does not permanently alter the website.

storage (Optional/Internal)

• Purpose: To save your local preferences.
• Usage: We may store simple settings (like your last used image format or resolution preference) in your browser's local storage (chrome.storage.local). This data is not synced to us and stays on your machine.

downloads

• Purpose: To save the screenshot file to your computer.
• Usage: Used only to trigger the download of the image you just created.

4. Third-Party Services

Easy Screenshot does not integrate with or share data with any third-party services, advertising networks, or tracking platforms.
