Jodhpur, India
Toorji Ka Jhalra is a historic step-pond located in the Makrana Mohalla district of Jodhpur. Built in the 1740s by Queen Tawarji, the structure demonstrates the traditional practice of royal women managing public waterworks in the region. The descent into the well consists of multiple levels of stairs extending down to approximately 60 meters. The rose-red sandstone walls display ornate carvings, small pavilions, and archways inspired by the classical stepwells of Gujarat. After extensive debris removal and cleaning, the site now functions as a prominent cultural landmark. The entire complex is mapped out in this virtual tour consisting of 7 panoramas. Each immersive 360-degree photo allows viewers to examine the descending steps and historic stone motifs from different angles.
